Little by little Studio is an agency of illustrators & graphic designers working for social change, shaping illustration and communication tools that connect with communities. Founder Julie Sauerwein and her teams collaborate with cooperatives, NGOs, and UN agencies, bringing stories to life through thoughtful visuals that speak to people of all ages. Their work unravels complexity, making ideas visible and understanding accessible—for large audiences or specific communities.

AELAN GEL

In occasion of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign the Italian artist Marilena Crosato organised a workshop and performance with a group of mamas working at the Market House in Port Vila Vanuatu. The mamas and young engaged girls became protagonist of the interactive live performance Aelan Gel / Island Daughters, showing their life challenges and their relationship with the power.

Alliance française de Port-Vila organised an exhibition where Marilena and I collaborated, showing a video of the process, photography and a poster I designed for the project.

The text in Vanuatu language bislama says : “We want that all the women in Vanuatu should not shut their mouths. They should not be silent. We should talk about Politics, School, Health, Respect, Violence, Money, Peace, Happiness, Business, Love, Kastom, Family, Religion, Sport, Music, everything ! Everything ! We want that all the women in Vanuatu should not be afraid.”
