IOM campaign on waste, building a new home & the forest

This new IOM campaign was developed with the funding support from New Zealand in collaboration with UN Environment, NDMO, Vanuatu Forestry and Vanuatu Shelter Cluster.

It will be printed on a long banner, rolled up in the backpacks of the facilitators and unfolded in the villages. Easily hung between two trees or in a community nakamal, it will accompany the facilitation, the concerns, questions and answers of any displaced population together with their hosts.

Cross sector storytelling works well as it reveals multiple issues displaced people face, from gender inequalities to waste management, wrong land use, excessive tree cutting and lack of proper shelter buildings.
